The intent of the program is to take entry-level employees and provide a hybrid of education, training and paid work experience of 2000 hours. Apprentices will also attend the Santa Rosa Junior College. Upon completion of all courses and requirements apprentices will obtain journey level status.
The cannabis joint apprenticeship program delivers innovative and fundamental training for the development of cannabis workers. In the spring of 2020 there will be four courses offered to further develop the cannabis industry. Overtime the curriculum will grow to cover many more courses. This program allows apprentices to network with fellow apprentices and other industry related individuals. The courses will help each individual in career development, human performance optimization, business, risk and safety while working in the cannabis industry.
The course of studies are designed for individuals who are currently employed within the cannabis industry. If you’re interested in becoming a cannabis apprentice, positions are available. This is a great program if you’re interested in making cannabis a career!
